Grab Teams Up With Mediacorp

More news from the ride-hailing app.

Much like SPH's recent deal with ComfortDelGro, Grab is teaming up with Singapore's other media giant, Mediacorp, to offer in-taxi content and entertainment platforms.

For Grab's private-hire drivers, this new move will provide them with an extra stream of income who can make the choice between an in-car tablet or other media assets including hangers and advertising car wraps. When it comes to tablets, Grab are in extremely safe hands with Mediacorp, so riders can enjoy a variety of Mediacorp made dramas, sitcoms, shows and Mediacorp artiste specials.

The recent move is seen as an extension of Grab's existing advertising programme which started in March 2017 and has already generated more than $300,000 for Grab drivers.

Talking of the move, Mediacorp CEO, Tham Loke Kheng, said: "The partnership with Grab is focused primarily on creating a better in-car experience for the Grab customer. The team at Mediacorp are excited to work with Grab to make this happen through our personalities and content, using formats which are well suited for in-transit viewing.” While head of Grab Singapore, Lim Kell Jay added: “Our partnership with Mediacorp will enable us to enrich the in-car experience for our passengers through high-quality content as well as create more income opportunities for drivers. We look forward to working closely with the Mediacorp team to deliver on our promise to out-serve our customers."
