Luxurious and opulent, the group also has a strong focus on sustainability, especially in the areas of social and economic responsibility.
Spa Esprit Group
The Spa Esprit Group is the brainchild of the frankly phenomenal Cynthia Chua. Boasting over 17 brands across nine countries, the Spa Esprit Group is home to some of any Singapore dwellers daily haunts incluing Strip, Browhaus, Skinny Pizza and ding dong. Worth an estimated $300 million, the group is testament to the fact that hard work and good ideas gets you a long way.
Hyflux's success story is really one for the record books. Started as a small, fledgling company back in 1989 with just $20,000 investment, thanks to owner and CEO, Olivia Lum's unique foresight and direction, the global environmental company is now listed on the Singapore stock exchange at $735 million. Part of the company's core success is inevitably due to Lum's realisation that the environmetal aspect of the company could only work if they diversifiedinto manufacturing, whereby the business changed considerably to adapt to these needs.
Tung Lok Group
Launched in 1984, Tung Lok has crafted a name for itself thank to its wide variety of dining experieces. Crafting everything from seafood specialities to dim sum delights, Tung Lok now has over 35 restaurants across Asia and plans to expand include incorporating upsale Chinese offerings into the reportoire.
