Three of the Most Impressive Luxury Penthouses Around the World
'Let's go to the penthouse, go to the penthouse, look at all that bubbly on the penthouse floor.'
When it comes to dreams and aspirations few are as talked, sung, or dreamt about as a penthouse. With private lifts and sky-scraping views, nothing quite beats top-floor living. So, if you are up for some real-estate lusting, here are three of the most amazing penthouses ever built.
The Pinnacle Penthouse at The Woolworth Tower Residences, New York
While the city that never sleeps has no shortage of insane real-estate, few beat this beauty. Part of New York City history, the Woolworth Building was, in 1913, the tallest building in Manhattan with its rooftop serving as an observation deck from travellers all around the world. Well, taller buildings have now come and gone but The Woolworth has maintained its charm with Sotheby's turning this art-deco beauty into a unique piece of real estate wonder. Painstakingly restored from the terra cotta facade right down to the gargoyles on the roof, by French architect Thierry W Despont, there are now 32 bespoke residences in this historical building, but of course, only one penthouse.
At 9,800 square-feet and priced at $79 Million, it's a whole lot of house you are getting and the best part has to be the fact that, once your cheque clears, you can choose from two pre-designed layouts spread over five or six floors. And if its views you are after, the 360-degree views of the city out of your 125-foot windows are guaranteed for good as the vistas are protected.
Triplex Penthouse, Aston Martin Residences, Miami
If you are looking for record-breaking real-estate sales then Miami is the place to look. With homes on the famed Star Island going for 100's of Millions, people are now turning to penthouses to flash their cash. Over at the Aston Martin Residences, you can look forward to not one but three floors, over 27,000 square foot of house, private lift, bespoke finishes, 7,000 square-feet of outside space, private pool, and, as the name suggests, it comes with an Aston Martin. But not any old Aston Martin will do of course with an Aston Martin Vulcan, one of just 24 all-carbon-fibre supercars on offer if you buy this $50 Million penthouse.
Concourse Skyline, Super Penthouse, Singapore
Due to limited space, housing prices in Singapore have always been on the high side, especially at the moment, but this penthouse on the 39th and 40th floors of the Concourse Skyline certainly takes the biscuit. At a whopping 11,130 square meters (just to compare, the average size of a condo in Singapore is 100 square-meters), this super-sized crib boasts interiors from famed glass artist, Nathalie Ziegler, a limited-edition rocking chair from Ron Arad and even a free-standing Meisterstuck Soundwave bathtub. Think we are done? Not quite, there's also 360-degree views of the city with Marina Bay Sands and the Singapore Flyer to look at as well as a private rooftop terrace and plunge pool. Oh, and, another small thing, included in the price is a Russian rare blue diamond - pretty good, right.
