The Competition For Government Creative Services Heats Up

There are now 67 companies in the running.

When the Ministry of Communications and Information (MCI) put out to tender that they were looking for independent agencies to form a panel, it was, of course, estimated that the move would cause a huge buzz within the industry.

Well, with all the final submissions in, a whopping 67 agencies are now competing to be part of the panel for communications and creative services. Among this number are agencies including Saatchi & Saatchi, Mediacorp, SPH, Publicis and Tribal Worldwide.

With all the submissions in, the aim of the tender is for the government to have a rostra of agencies and agency fees for various communication campaign services for the year ahead, with the option of renewal for a further 24 months if the government should so wish. The kinds of work agencies are bidding for include Singapore Design Week and promoting Singapore as a UNESCO Creative City of Design.
