Bio-X Asia Conference 2018: Diagnostics, Monitoring And Entrepreneurship
The One Event Not To Be Missed For Biotech Startups
With major VC funding expected to continue pouring into biotech this year according to reports from Reuters, there’s no better time to get in on the action. Whether you’re thinking of launching your own biotech startup or investing in one, this is the one opportunity to network, share your expertise, and learn about all things diagnostic, from medical diagnostics to environment monitoring and issues in their commercialisation.
Following a tradition of conferences in Israel, the Bio-X conference will make its debut in Singapore in 2018. The Bio-X international conferences organised by Robert S. Marks, Serge Cosnier, and Chris Geddes, were born out of the common goal to incorporate state-of-the-art scientific lectures, hands-on workshops, as well as to foster networking between the scientists. Ultimately, the conference aims to shed light on the various issues in spinning off diagnostic technology and making a startup for researchers.
Held from February 21st to 23rd February at the CREATE Tower NUS, the event will showcase diagnostics and monitoring and features more than 20 keynote speakers from over six countries, representing the government and industry as well as academia and research.
Some of the major highlights to expect include the satellite course focused on ‘Issues in Diagnostic Entrepreneurship” on Friday, February 23, 2018 catered to both industry professionals and the general public. The course features lecturers from core diagnostic companies and successful startups, and will cover topics including how to commercialise an idea, IP, regulatory pathways, financial planning, operations and manufacturing.
