Tour Of The Sanlorenzo 460Exp
We take a look inside Sanlorenzo’s latest boat, which recently completed its maiden transatlantic crossing.
Unveiled at Monaco Boat Show 2015, the Sanlorenzo 460Exp is the first yacht in the manufacturer’s new Explorer range. The first 460Exp to be shipped to its owner, the Moka was delivered via an impressive winter transatlantic crossing from the Port of Viareggio to Florida.
Despite the 5,600-nautical-mile month-long journey, which included 19 full fays of cruising at a speed of 12.5 knots, the Moka was delivered to the owner having suffered no technical difficulties and no sign of wear.
The Sanlorenzo 460Exp is a 460-ton yacht with a steel displacement hull and aluminium superstructure. Designed for long-range cruising, it features two Caterpillar C32 Acert propulsion engines, which develop 1,319mhp, and is able to cover over 4,000 miles at an average speed of 11 knots. At 42.8m, it houses five decks that can be customised to each owner’s specific requests. In the fully openable stern of the lower deck, the 460Exp is capable of housing several other smaller boats of up to 9m. It also comes complete with a beach club, bar, sauna and a space for diving.
The Moka is the first of its kind to be delivered — four other Sanlorenzo 460Exp yachts have been sold and are currently under construction.
The Moka was designed to house five cabins — an expansive owner’s suite and two salons on the main deck, and two more salons on the upper deck. The build also features a gym on the lower deck, as well as stunning outdoor areas. Even crew and service areas were created to be bigger than most similarly sized yachts.
Here we bring you a virtual tour of this stunning yacht.
